The renovation of this single family house was to create a place where the client can retreat to enjoy surrounding landscape views and to perform with his band for a small audience. The addition was designed to face south to invite sunlight. The windows were thoughtfully located to maximize cross ventilation throughout the addition. Clerestory windows on southeast wall provided enough wall space to set up a stage for his band and to install a wood burning stove.
